Garage Doors
Hi Everyone! I am getting fussed at from people for not updating the blog!!!
We have been sooooo busy with the kids, play dates, camps, trips, and above all TRAINING FOR THE IRONMAN!!!
Actually, as I am updating....Zan hitched a ride with a good friend of his up to his home in Yankee Lake. He is going to swim (next to CC in his boat)then hop out of the water (pretending, he's at the ironman) and ride his bike 85 miles home!! ONLY MY HUBBY!!!
BUT... Zan did take a day off last week to paint our garage doors!! They were tan. They loook so good! We have almost finished the exterior of the house. Zan and his father have started the plumbing inside so its coming together. Everyone taking this weekend off but plan to have some extra help next weekend to get moving!!
We are still living above the garage. We lost our air conditioner unit so they could put up the siding. My dad helped us install a portable one that keeps us pretty cool. Hate to see our electric bill but thank god for it because it's been HOT!
I will update a picture of the outside tomorrow.

Uhaul trip
Dad had to rush off to a Football Coaches meeting so guess who had to load all the kids in the Uhaul to return it??? Chance loved sitting in the front seat, up so high!!!! Good thing I didn't get pulled over.
We often get fussed at that we are too busy with the kids while trying to renovate but that's life! We do what we can do then run out too hang with friends. I think that is what keeps us sane doing this project, having friends and staying busy with other things besides just the house.
The downfall? We may be living above the garage for a long time!

Santa does ALL SIZE homes
Grandad has replaced all the "not so strong" boards! As I stated "grandad", so this means he pretty much rebuilt the whole swing set so it would last throughout all my grandchildren!! He doesn't know his son in law will be having a clutter heart attack in a few years and all will be gone again! As for now, the kids can jump and go crazy. He even put shingles so we can play in the rain or have "camp outs" in it.
So after we finished, we needed the HEAVY thing placed in position so my dad asked if we had any YOUNG STRONG friends? I laughed and said our YOUNG STRONG friends would hire a YOUNG STRONG person!! So, who do I call? SANTA with his big giant toy!!!

The Jungle gym
The Before picture of the kids Play scape. The main goal for my Dad is to build the kids a fun jungle gym. Another money pit in the Franc Blog! OMG, wood cost a fortune! {Should have had this added to my estimate from Santa, maybe he could have gotten a deal for the wood} It's all worth it for the bouncing boys who are gonna play with it EVERYDAY! I better not ever here the word"bored" again. ha Maybe they will play if I hook up the Wii inside it!

How we spent our Fourth of July
They are absolutely NUTS!!! These two tied the ladder to a tree, Zan tied himself to the tree, and luckily they all survived.
From the minute we moved in to the house, Zan could not stand the huge limbs that blocked the house, hung over the driveway, and prevented us from playing ball in the yard so he took care of it. I was watching but had to stop because it was so dangerous! They would start the chainsaw, carry it up to Zan running(thought a leg was gonna get chopped), Zan would then cut a limb while half hanging from a tree limb! He cut down atleast six from this tree.
The worst part was the amount of times my dad had to climb the ladder! each time he would hand off the saw, it would die so he would have to climb back down and start again! The trees were cut and mom and I cleaned them up.
Dana's parents arrive in town
My Mom and Dad arrived on Saturday night and off we went to Home Depot after they had been driving for 12 hours! We bought all the stuff for their "to do" list! By the way, the list seems to be getting bigger! Every time we see an idea, we say, "maybe mom and Gary can take care of it"
We started clearing out more of the yard then Zan got the bright idea to start cutting down huge limbs! It was like a joke!! We cut down so much that it took two full days to clean all of it up.
The yard does look so much better. Thanks for helping us!!!
